**********EXTRA LEVEL AUTHENTICATION FOR ONLINE TRANSACTIONS IN INDIA*******************

All the indian customers who own a bank account have a reason to smile and feel happy .

RBI(Reserve Bank of INDIA) has passed a rule ,which is it to be implemented from August 01 2009 .It says that the people who use online transactions very frequently ,can now make their transactions safer than ever before ,by applying for a secured username and password which are very much prerequisite for any online transaction and no transaction can be done without them.

Need for such a rule :..

~*earlier the transactions were made ,just by using the card numbers .This was a very risky factor as ,if the card is lost anyone can misuse it .So to avoid it RBI has brought in this new rule.

What: RBI ordered banks to add an extra level of authenication for online transcations.
Why: To make online transaction more safer.
How: You have to register by visiting your bank website to activate this authentication step for your debit or credit card.
When: Extra level of authentication will come into effect from August 1^st, 2009. Register before this date.
If I DO NOT register, then? Your online transcation through Credit Card or Debit Card may not work after August 1^st, 2009

Note : This rule has to be followed by each and everyone , without the secured username and password one cannot carry out any online transaction.This is to be implemented from Aug 1 2009 .
